To begin with, I have a fascination with sea creatures. This piece describes how I feel sometimes...like an octopus on the shore, not able to get back to the water and totally out of place. Created using the lost-wax method, and pouring cast aluminum into the plaster molds I created after dipping in wax, repetitively. This sculpture entails nine separate pieces, all welded together.
